Gesher Canada’s mission is to monitor and intercede on behalf of causes important to the Canadian Orthodox Jewish community. Gesher takes advocacy positions before federal, provincial and local governmental or quasi-governmental bodies and agencies. In so doing, Gesher seeks to protect the rights and advance the interests of Orthodox Jews and their growing network of educational and religious institutions, and to offer a uniquely Orthodox Jewish perspective on contemporary issues of public concern.

(a) protecting and advancing religious and civil rights;

(b) promoting the interests of religiously affiliated schools and their parent and student bodies;

(c) providing assistance to and facilitating the needs and goals of religiously affiliated organizations; and

(d) commenting on contemporary social, moral and family issues.
